One Day

One day, I really wanted to watch the film drama that can makes me cry. Then my friend recommended a Korean movie titled Harmony. This movie directed by Dae-gyu Kang and the lead role played by Yunjin Kim as Jeong-hye Hong, Mun-hee Na as the mun-ok Kim, Ye-won Kang as Kang Yu-mi, Joon-myeon park as Yeon-sil Kang, Lee Da-hee as Na-yeong Gong and Jang Youn-nam as Section Chief bang.
The story starts from the birth of a boy named Minho who was born in a women's prison in Korea. His mother, Jeong Hye is a prisoner with a sentence of ten years due to killed her husband. In the women's prison, often a fight between the prisoners because of unworthy things but the existence of Min Woo was able to make these women "rediscover her feminine side". By watching the baby with innocent face, the soft side of these women seems to appear and finally ending fights among them. Minho was very lucky, although he was born in prison, but he did not lack love. Love came from 3 women were single rooms with Jong Hye.
The story becomes more interesting after the arrival of the prison choir group. For Jeong Hye, the choir was very appeal to her. She made a proposal to the warden to have some kind of training in the prison choir, just to keep the prisoners to have activities. The warden did not mind and asked Jeong Hye to organize such activities. Jeong Hye really only have the spirit, she did not have enough musical ability. Fortunately, a death row prisoner named Moon Ok had enough for music experience. She became conductor and build up a serious choir. She said, "I want to do something worthwhile before I die."
Conflict happened when the film is Min Woo should be handed over to the foster parents. Local State policy forbids children under five to be raised in prison and required to be adopted by the foster parents. This incident invited the sadness for Jeong Hye and the whole prison was also. On the other hand, their own choir was growing rapidly and was invited to a festival in Seoul. At the festival, their prisoner status under the spotlight, both positive and negative. In one incident, they were ever had asked to undress themselves because of a guest who had lost her ring.

Harmony Films presents a story that runs slowly, but with a complicated conflict. The film is was very shaken emotionally. The greatness of the other, unaffected Harmony presenting stereotypical Hollywood movie with more or less similar flow: opening - conflict - a happy ending. Harmony shows that do not have a happy ending to leave an impression in the hearts of the audience. Precisely the heartbreaking ending makes the film more often ringing. Watch the movie itself, highly recommended!
